Everett Kruse, age 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away April 26, 2015.
Everett was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company beginning as construction lineman in 1956, then as an installation technician in Spencer and Estherville. After six weeks of #5 crossbar training he was relocated to Storm Lake as a #5 switchman. In 1963 he was promoted to crossbar technician and relocated to Mason City. While there he designed and installed the first Stuck Sender Tracer for the Master Test Frame location in the Iowa Area. In 1966 Everett was promoted to management and supervised the last Iowa Northwestern Bell Telephone office conversion from manual to dial in Corydon. In 1967 he was transferred to the Cedar Rapids office first as service foreman, then test center foreman and finally as central office foreman. He managed the installation of several new offices to allow direct distance dialing in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Waterloo and Des Moines. Everett retired from Northwestern Bell/U S West in March 1986.

Karen S. Rodgers Sinclair, age 73, of Chariton, Iowa, passed away April 19, 2015.
Karen took pride in providing excellent customer service at US WEST Communications. She held several jobs over the 22 years while employed at US WEST and received many customer accommodations. She had a great work ethic and was respected by her peers & management.
Karen was very proud to be a union member of the Communication Workers of America Local 7102 while employed at US WEST.

Dorothy W. Sowl, age 85, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away April 16, 2015.

Amanda Belle Feiro, age 93, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away April 18, 2015.
Amanda began working for Bell Telephone Company as an information operator in 1938 at the age of 16 until she retired in 1984. She met George Earl Feiro through a co-worker (her future sister-in-law Phyllis) and they were married on June 25, 1949.
