It’s that time of year again for our annual Bell get together. Last year, we changed our gathering to an afternoon event and it was pretty successful so here we go again.

Join us on Friday, September 7th at Mad Jack Sports Cafe in Vadnais Heights from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Mad Jack’s is a rustic sports bar located at 935 County Rd E East, 651-287-3900. We will be meeting in the “cabin” room.

Mad Jack’s Happy Hour is 3:30 to 6:30, $1 off drinks & $2 off appetizers.

Lee Peterson,  age 75,  of Baltic, South Dakota,  passed away August 22, 2018.

Lee worked as a frame attendant for Qwest Communications for 34 years, retiring in 2001.

John Frandsen

John Frandsen,  age 96,  of Springfield, Missouri, and previously of Omaha, Nebraska,  passed away on August 22, 2018.


John was a World War II veteran of the Air Force who specialized in communications.  Later, he worked for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Omaha, Nebraska, and retired as Vice President.

Neil Russell Parker

Neil Russell Parker,  age 85,  of West Des Moines, Iowa,  passed away August 22, 2018.

Neil began work for Northwestern Bell prior to serving in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Germany.  He then returned to the phone company from which he retired early at age 49.

Robert A. Shaw,  age 77,  of Carriere, Mississippi (winter) and South Haven, Minnesota (summers),  passed away July 22, 2018.
