Rodney Carl Stassen,  age 97,  of Scottsdale, Arizona,  and formerly of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away October 4, 2018.

Rod spent the majority of his working career with Northwestern Bell  and held many positions.  He met Lucille Saari while visiting the Duluth office. Rod and Lou were married in 1950 and moved to Virginia, MN. They moved a few times within MN, but landed in St. Paul, where they raised their family.

We’ve commissioned a Bus Tour with a tour operator we think you’ll find fun and entertaining.

It’s a 5 day tour to the beautiful sights in the Renfro Valley area of Kentucky this coming May 2019. Any Pioneer people and friends and family are invited. What a special way to visit and enjoy a worry-free trip with each other; people we’ve perhaps worked with and others who share the same work legacy.

Trip Highlights: Kentucky Bluegrass Hall of Fame, Preservation Station, Renfro Valley Entertainment Center, Appalachian Pioneer Homestead, Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, Kentucky Derby Adventure, Copper King Distillery, Louisville Mega Caverns (no walking here, see it via Tram!), and Woodsong theater where we will be the audience for a presentation for RFD TV production and airing on Armed Forces Radio.
