Arla Jean Beers, 93, of Delmar and formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away May 18, 2023.
Following high school, Arla moved to Cedar Rapids and worked for Northwestern Bell as a switchboard operator for many years.

Karen “Cookie” Ulrich, age 79, of Wayne, formerly of Wakefield, Nebraska, passed away May 19, 2023.
Cookie worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Norfolk and Sioux City for 18 years.

Marie Lattimer, 89, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away March 6, 2023.
Marie worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and was on the chosen committee to call all the phone numbers and instruct residents on how to utilize the phone system; also chosen to be one of the operators when President Eisenhower was at his summer White House at the Game Lodge in Custer, SD. She then went into civil service, working at Ellsworth AFB as a telephone operator; and as a switchboard operator for the new base hospital in 1958.

Doris Whiteley, age 88, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away May 24, 2023.
Doris worked for Northwestern Bell as an operator for 9 years and then the accounting department for 21 years retiring from Lucent Technologies. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Kimberly Fowler, age 65, of Phoenix, Arizona, and previously of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away March 23, 2023.
Kim worked for Northwestern Bell, aka (Qwest and Century Link Phone Co. as a service representative in Omaha. She later transferred to Century Link in Phoenix, AZ.
