Judith Rae “Judi” Lydell, age 72, of Osage, Minnesota, passed away February 9, 2019.
Judi began her working career with Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Detroit Lakes and later in Fargo, ND in a career that spanned 20 years. Over the years, she commuted many thousands of miles to work in Fargo.

Kenneth Lee Urbach, age 76, of Mantorville, Minnesota, passed away February 2, 2019.
Ken worked as a technician for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company of Rochester, MN, for 25 years.

Steve Dolin, of Princeton, Minnesota, passed away February, 2019.
Steve worked repair and was a district representative for the Communication Workers of America. He was a member of the Minnesota Pioneers.
Steve’s church made this announcement…
“We the family of God lost a wonderful man today. Steve Dolin will be missed dearly. Please pray for Carol and the family in there difficult time. He got up to go to the bathroom around 4am , collapsed from heart attack. Cards may be sent to Carol at – 14092 State Highway 95, Princeton, MN. 55371-6346”

Kenneth “Pete” Paul Lindgren, age 89, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, passed away January 5, 2019.
Pete chose the engineering profession and worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years. As he was promoted, Ma Bell stationed Pete and his family in the communities of Princeton, Milaca, Paynesville, Sauk Center, Brainerd and Staples. He was finally transferred to Detroit Lakes in 1960, where he finished out his career. He rose to the level of plant engineer and worked to bring telephone service to much of northern Minnesota.

Ralph James Marotzke, age 87, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, passed away January 1, 2019.
“Ralph started out in the Detroit Lakes district on the line crew. He progressed along the way and became an engineer. When they closed down the Detroit Lakes district he was Transferred to St. Cloud district. When the Bell System got all messed up he was in Minneapolis.”
