Violet Mueller

Violet Mueller,  age 88,  of Minot, North Dakota,  passed away February 9, 2019.

Violet went to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone where she was employed for 24 ½ years.  She retired as a telephone operator in December of 1976.

Kathleen “Kaye” Lehmann

Kathleen (Kaye) Lehmann,  age 76,  of  Johnstown, Colorado, previously of Bismarck and Fargo, ND,  passed away January 31, 2019.

Kathleen Ann Lehmann

Kaye started her career in Bismarck with a job at Northwestern Bell. Her profession called for moving her family to Fargo, ND and then to AT&T Corporate Headquarters in New Jersey. She retired in 2004 after earning numerous awards including being named “The Mother of Invention” for bringing new technologies, bench-marking, and customer service innovations into the organization.

Dale Wayne Hardwick

Dale Wayne Hardwick,  age 90,  of Worthington, Minnesota,  passed away January 27, 2019.

Dale Wayne Hardwick

Dale left home at age 18 to work as a telephone lineman for AT&T in Wisconsin and Iowa.  In 1950, Dale enlisted in the Army during the Korean War.  After his military service, Dale returned to Wisconsin.  He was hired by AT&T as a telephone lineman and started working installing telephone lines across the states of Minnesota and North Dakota.  In 1952, he went to work for Northwestern Bell in North Dakota.

Arlene Johnson

Arlene Johnson,  age 83,  of Valley City and formerly of Bismarck, North Dakota,  passed away January 7, 2019.


Immediately following high school, Arlene began working for NW Bell as a Telephone Operator.  She had 18 years with the company.
