Aletha Christina Carter, 99 of Des Moines, formerly of Burlington, Iowa, passed away May 11, 2023.
Aletha was an operator supervisor for Northwestern Bell where she worked for 15 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Ruthann worked for Northwestern Bell/AT&T as a clerk and operator. She retired in 1991.

William James Cowles, 89, of Des Moines, Iowa, previously of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away May 1, 2023.
In 1958, William moved to Wyoming and went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. He retired from the company in 1979. He returned to Iowa in 2000.
