Shirley S. Christopher

Shirley Christopher, age 89, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away May 31, 2015.

Shirley started working at the telephone company at the age of 16, and working in Sioux Falls before moving to other locations.  She continued her career at the telephone company advancing up to crew chief of her division.  In 1985 she returned to Sioux Falls.

Robert Leigh Ness

Robert Leigh Ness, 89 of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away on March 10, 2015.

Robert was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Northeast South Dakota until his entry into military service.  After WWII, he returned to employment with NW Bell Telephone Co. in Watertown and was transferred to Aberdeen in February of 1947, where he held various positions.  In September 1975 he was transferred to Sioux Falls.  He retired as an Outside Plant Planning Engineer on December 31, 1983 after 40 ½ years of service.
