Richard “Dick” O. Johnson

Richard “Dick” O. Johnson, 89 of Minneapolis, passed away on June 20, 2024.

Dick had a long career at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was the longest serving president of CWA local 7200 and completed his career as president of Minneapolis Central Labor Union.  Dick was one of the early leaders/Directors of the Centurylink Retirees when it was called the Association of U S West Retirees, and continued on as a member through all of it’s renaming iterations.

JoAnn Wehrkamp

JoAnn Wehrkamp, 85, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and previously Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away June 21, 2024.

JoAnn began her career as an operator with Northwestern Bell in Sioux Falls after graduating from Mitchell SD high school in 1957.   Joann worked in various roles at NW Bell and later US West and Quest.  JoAnn relocated to Minneapolis in 1987 and continued to work there until retiring in 1995 as a Manager of Switch Administration.  JoAnn had friends in all five states of the old Northwestern Bell and returned to Sioux Falls upon her retirement.
